When presented by the new Supply ChainDueDiligence Act ( SCDDA) in Germany, PwC realized their clients would need tools and processes to automate evaluation of suppliers. PwC set about building an innovative application to check the clients’ valuechain. This is even more important with the upcoming EU’s CSDDD.
SAP assures its customers this will help buyers see how they can better comply with duediligence and report against the background of new ESG laws. New suppliers can then be selected on the basis of key figures in such a way that sustainability goals in their own business, including the associated valuechain, are met.
In the meantime, as explained by Perugini, CIOs must do duediligence on the data their companies collect from connected devices and understand where they are in the valuechain whether they are the owners, users, or recipients.
Since the rise of ESG backlash , investors have had to establish their own duediligence processes to vet whether a corporation was being honest in its labeling. And for investors, duediligence only goes so far in revealing how altruistic a company’s ESG initiatives truly are.
For example, more than one company faced challenges relating to high project costs, complex valuechains, high interest rates, grid access, and permitting issues, among others.
At the same time, the oil and gas industry has undergone a digital transformation, with companies racing to integrate advanced technologies and automation throughout their valuechains, so as to remain competitive. Overall, the industry enters this year well poised for success , with a strong financial position and high oil prices.
Selling directly to consumers also allows manufacturers to capture a larger share of the valuechain, while avoiding some of the costs and complexities associated with traditional distribution channels.
The valuechain is a little different in tech. Analyst C encourages investment researchers to tailor their questions to the expert’s role and niche within their respective industries: “There’s different expert types, in life sciences there’s doctors, clinicians, pharma reps, etc.
